Land Regeneration and Renewable Energy Specialist
James has over two decades of experience delivering land regeneration, rewilding, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects across the UK and beyond. With expertise spanning water, environmental, geotechnical, planning, and civil engineering, he specialises in solving complex environmental challenges.
When he’s not leading the team, James can be found swimming in the Thames, walking his two Jack Russells, or keeping the company moving forward; sometimes with actual strategy, sometimes with questionable dance floor moves.
Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant
Since joining Aqua Terra Consultants in October 2024, Rhys has brought his experience in geotechnical, geo-environmental, and Environmental Impact Assessment projects to schemes ranging from substations to nationally significant upland wind farms. With a sharp eye for detail and a knack for solving tricky problems, Rhys is quickly becoming a key part of the Aqua Terra team.
Outside of work, Rhys is busy mastering the art of being a new cat dad to two very spoilt cats, exploring the hills on foot, and keeping up with the fast-paced worlds of Formula 1 and football. Whether it’s ground conditions, race strategies, or weekend plans, Rhys is always ready with an analysis.
Graduate Geo Environmental Consultant
Imke joined Aqua Terra Consultants in January and has quickly become a valued member of the team. She has thrown herself into a wide range of projects, getting hands-on with site work, mineral assessments, desk studies, Phase 1 and Phase 2 investigations, and environmental monitoring.
Outside of work, Imke can be found running around new corners of the world, travelling across Europe (including trips home to Hamburg), hunting down the best white asparagus, and exploring her new home of Cardiff. Always curious and ready for the next adventure, she brings the same energy to the team as she does to discovering new places.

Anna has over six years’ experience delivering geo-environmental and geotechnical assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, and specialist environmental studies across the UK. She has particular expertise in peat hydrogeology and developing sustainable solutions for environmentally sensitive projects.
Outside work, Anna can be found tending her allotment, spending time with her fluffy sidekick Maple, or escaping to the ocean — preferably with scuba gear on and a few metres of water between her and dry land.
Director
Jacob has eight years’ experience delivering geo-environmental investigations and assessments for development and renewable energy projects. His experience spans contaminated land, ground conditions, hydrology, hydrogeology, and GIS, combining technical expertise with a practical approach to project delivery.
Outside work, Jacob spends his time chasing his dog Effie, running absurdly long distances for fun, and proving that cricket is still a good excuse to stand around for hours.
Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant
Rebekah has over five years’ experience delivering geotechnical, geo-environmental, and Environmental Impact Assessment work across a range of developments, including substations and nationally significant solar and wind farm projects. She brings a practical and detail-focused approach to understanding ground conditions and supporting successful project delivery.
Outside of work, Rebekah swaps site investigations for sketchbooks, spreadsheets for paintbrushes, and reports for running routes across Oxfordshire. Usually accompanied by her dog Olive, she can be found exploring the countryside, creating something colourful, or convincing herself the next run is a good idea.
